About Us

Barningham and Holgate Estates is made up of 7,000 acres on the northern edge of the Yorkshire Dales. The heather moorland area is spread over 4,000 acres and managed commercially as a grouse moor. Teams of guns come from both the local area and further afield. The Estate is also well known for its very wide assemblage of birds, such as black cock, plovers, curlews and other waders, mainly as a result of the well managed and varying habitats within it.

www.ovenreadygrouse.co.uk is a family-run business which has been selling oven ready grouse to the public for 30 years and over this time we have built up good relationships with our many loyal customers.

The business is run by Anthony Milbank, well known to many as the first Chairman of the Moorland Association. He sits on the RSPB Council and has been involved in many conservation projects over the years as well as being a keen shooting man.
